I would recommend the use of stash cans for three main reasons; the first being, that they are inexpensive. Installing an alarm security system would cost you a fortune. Another reason for buying stash cans is that they can get camouflaged very easily since they look and weigh like original products. In fact, the best way to hide your valuables from burglars is to keep them in plain sight. Burglars usually would not waste time searching unpredictable options, rather they go with the more predictable ones. So, your valuables remain unnoticed. In addition to this, stash cans offer extra protection in terms of the difficulty level of opening it. These accessories have an in-built lid which takes time to open.

Being a proud US military veteran and prior U.S. Army Sargent, I understand the importance of being able to protect one’s own self and valuables. The training of the 101^st Screaming Eagles Air Assault/ Airborne Division of the US army has helped me to learn and gain expertise in self defense and diversion tactics. Witnessing the increasing crime rate in my neighborhood and seeing wealthy elders becoming victims to house invasions, I thought of launching a diversion safe line. Unlike burglary, home invasions can have a violent intent. Therefore, it is not advisable to struggle with robbers for saving valuables. However, adopting stash cans or diversion safes can prove extremely useful.

In fact, I remember one of my close friends telling me about a home invasion incident where the couple living alone in a posh area in New York City lost a lot of money to the robbers. However, as the robbers left, the couple found valuable jewelry lying inside a pen holder. Cases like this strengthened my belief that we must hide money in plain sight.

Here is a bit of advice I would like to give to everyone I talk to, Don’t Hide Your Valuables in the usual places like the mattress, the toilet or in furniture drawers. If you do you might as well pile it all up on the kitchen table with a note, please go ahead and have these, I left them out so you wouldn’t have to mess up my nice clean house.

Now here is a few things you might want to consider. First if you have a rare collection of gold coins that’s worth thousands you might want to get a safety deposit box at your local bank.

There are other things in your home you can do and one of my favorite is diversion safes. A family heirloom wood be well hidden in a book safe especially if you like to read and have a collection of books around the house. Soda can safes as well as other look real food containers are another great tool to hide your valuables. A household cleaner that looks and weighs like the real thing will fool a burglar when they walk into the bathroom or look under the sink cabinets.

There are auto cleaner products and other diversion safes that look like the real thing that can be left out in plain site in the utility room or the garage that a burglar will never take the time to look for because chances are he’s looking for the obvious and doesn’t have a lot of time.
